Baby Diaper Reviews

I've tried just about every diaper brand out there and these diaper reviews are based on my own personal experiences.

I think shopping for diapers is a lot like shopping for jeans. They all fit a little differently and finding the perfect ones can take time. Our variety diaper sample packs may be of interest to you, they're a great way to try them all.

Huggies

I tried both Huggies Snugglers and Huggies Snug and Dry and liked the way they looked and felt. Unfortunately they were not a good fit for either of my daughters so we had lots of leaks. Another thing I noticed is these diapers rolled over onto themselves after being removed. I want a full diaper to stay put when I move it aside, and not curl up onto itself which can end in a big mess. That being said, I had several friends who swore by Huggies and wouldn't use any others!

Pampers

Pampers Swaddlers were definitely my favorite premium diaper. They were soft and fit my kids quite well. I never had any problems with leaks even overnight or when I may have gone a little too long between changes. The biggest drawback for me was the price.

Pampers Baby Dry also worked well for me, I had no problems with leaks and they are more reasonably priced but still a premium diaper and slightly higher than I wanted to pay.

Luvs

I had read the Luvs diaper reviews and seen the commercials, and for me they lived up to the claims of being a cheaper diaper that work's just as well as the higher priced brands. I noticed that Luvs looked an awful lot like Pampers Baby Dry and learned that they are in fact made by the same company. It's a very common practice in marketing, similar to Lexus and Toyota. I did not like the way Luvs smelled though. It reminded me of artifical grape flavoring, and the diapers are purple too so that was kind of weird.

Target

The Target brand, now called Up & Up, were my overall favorite diapers. For the quality and price, I was really impressed. I really like the cute blue and green circles printed on them, which is a redesign that happened sometime between my two kids. They were a perfect fit for my girls and worked just as well as the higher priced premium diapers. I have noticed the price slowly creeping upward which I do not like. I joke that the name "Up & Up" is referring to the price.

Walmart

I used Walmart's White Cloud brand quite a bit with my first daughter and was happy with them. Later I switched to Target diapers and stuck with those since they worked for me and I preferred shopping there. I would say they were comparable. (See Target diaper reviews above.)

I did not have a good experience with the Parent's Choice diapers also sold at Walmart. They were very cheap, and it showed. They gave my daugter a rash so most of the pack went in the trash.
