I know I did, and I didn't even feed my babies formula. What I really could have used was free diaper samples, but it never happened that way.

Anyhow, there are a few ways to make sure you're on "the list" for totally free baby formula, coupons and other baby product samples.

Subscribe to Parenting Magazines. Keep an eye out for free 1 year subscriptions. Even if you do wind up paying to subscribe, you'll definitely get on lots of marketing lists directed at new parents and that means more opportunities for samples. Not to mention the useful information they publish.

Ask your doctor. Pediatrician offices get more baby formula samples than you can imagine. In many cases it's yours for the asking. So, develop a good rapport with the Doc and get your share.

Search online for promos. It's one sure source for free baby samples. Companies will give away freebies in hopes of gaining you as a customer somewhere down the line. A quick search online will turn up lots of programs that provide free samples for giving out your contact information. If you go this route, be prepared for a lot of junkmail to flood either your inbox or your mailbox depending on which information you shared.

WIC, which stands for Women, Infants and Children is a federal nutrition program that provides free formula and other nutritios food to income qualified families. It's worth a look to see if you're eligible.
