Tip towel or dish towel bibs easily make the favorites list. It's no wonder why, they provide excellent coverage, and keep the mess off of clothes.
Unfortunately, this style baby bib can be tricky to find in stores. Not to worry, with a little creativity you can whip up some custom bibs for a special baby in very little time.
Measure approximately 3.5" from the top of the bib and draw a circle ~3.5" in diameter. A kitchen glass is often the perfect size. Cut this circle out. Keep in mind a baby's neck is tiny! Don't make the circle bigger- it is supposed to be small.
Next cut from the center top of the towel down to the circle as indicated in the diagram above.
Take you bias tape and beginning on the top edge of the towel stitch it down to the circle, all the way around it, and back up the other side. Finish the bias tape.
Take your velcro and pin it to the back side of one flap and the front side of the other closer to the circle than the top edge of the towel. Stitch in place.
That's it! Towel bibs are such easy baby gifts to make. Make several and wrap them up for a unique baby gift.
